Corporate governance XTC world innovation
Xavier TERLET -
Président XTC world innovation
 |
Creator of the Nouveaux Produits – Nouveaux Marchés newsletter and managing editor of the Journal de Carrefour, Xavier Terlet has been immersed in the world of consumer goods since the very beginning of his career.
At the start of the 1990s, he specialized in the publication of professional journals dedicated to product innovation. Getting to know the players in the agro-food business and working with them convinced him of how important innovation is when it comes to brand vitality and survival.
|
|
The logical next step was the founding of XTC in 1993, followed by the development of the XTCscan innovations database, both of which provide clients with the best ways to innovate concretely, efficiently and promptly.
In 1998, as a nod to his clients, he turned the compendium “Drôle de Goûts”, an inventory of the world’s nuttiest food innovations, into an instant bestseller.
Convinced that the only true innovation is “innovation that provides a tangible benefit to the consumer,” he revealed his secret to staying in tune with innovation: listening to everything his three daughters say and surfing the Web like there’s no tomorrow.
He takes his own personal tagline from jazz man Clark Terry: “Imitate, assimilate, and innovate.”

Florencia PAGANO -
Director, XTC world innovation Latin America

|
Florencia Pagano has travelled a somewhat atypical professional road, guided by curiosity and spontaneity. It all started in a rather traditional way when she discovered consumer product marketing before taking a long and passionate detour into the art world.
From shopping carts to Alexander Calder, department stores to galleries, Wal-Mart to Sotheby’s… a seemingly unbridgeable gap. Yet Florencia crossed that bridge not once but twice with the greatest of ease.
|
From then on, this accomplished marketing specialist derived her daily inspiration from art in all its forms, including the culinary variety, one of her passions. Her artistic touchstone is Leonardo Da Vinci, influential artists of the Italian Renaissance. In her opinion, he constituted the perfect link between the beautiful and the utilitarian, the ideal and the down-to-earth.
And it is from yet another world-renowned artist, Jean Cocteau, that she takes her personal motto: “There are no precursors, only latecomers.”
